WILBARSTON
This must be the longest run of dry stages ever!Ý Full house - audience a bit too quiet throughout gig but went nuts at the end - which goes to show you never can tell.Ý Production values at the venue very thin. Onward and upward!

MANCHESTER
Another dry, dead sounding stage but Laurie (our sound man) said he was very happy with sound outfront. What a great audience though. My energy flagged because of heavy cold but the guys took up the slack.

WOLVERHAMPTON
A good size venue but again a very dead sound on stage - we had to work hard to put it over, but the crowd was great.Ý Staying in a good Holiday Inn situated on a Horse Racing Track - very unusual!

SOUTHAMPTON
Quite a strange room with a balcony on three sides and a very dead sounding stage - nevertheless a very good audience. Starting to get my tone to a place where it is consistent night to night - still using the old Fulldrive. Thank you Mike Fuller!Leaving out Sweet L.A. and set flows better.

CARDIFF
The Coal Exchange, Cardiff, is an amazing old building, obviously built at a time when money was no obstacle for the builders. The hall itself clad in mahogany with many carved 'shields' as decoration. Strong appreciation from a large crowd - band in 'fifth gear'.

GLOUCESTER
Venue is a wonderful old hall which is part of the Arts Centre for the town. Not a full house but a very appreciative one. Switched to the sunburst 'signature' and it has a remarkably different tone to the midnight wine strats. So had to adjust the amps as the show went on - ended the night thinking this could be the 'one' of the three.

NOTTINGHAM
The Rescue Rooms right in the heart of town - smallish venue but a very good sounding room. The crowd was excellent and we enjoyed the show - new set working well now.

Friday 14th Apr. 06

Today was a very 'Good Friday'. Davey gave us a great vocal on 'Hard truths'. The past two days have seen some of his finest work. DB has found a way of recording vocals that is very pure - capturing all the dynamics of the performance. After DP left I went on to sing the B.V's on 'Time to say goodbye'.

Thursday 13th Apr. 06

Working at DBs studio - started with putting Davey on 'Can't stand the sound' which he sang magnificently but unfortunately blew his voice because the melody is at the top of his range. After Davey left we put my vocal on 'Dressed in Gold' and also guide vocals on 'When I wake up' and 'Freefall' - all coming along nicely.

Spent the day bringing Davey up to speed on three songs for the new album. The time spent today was very valuable.

BERLIN
Excellent venue - sold out - crowds attention rock solid throughout and the band really on song. Switched back to the old Fulldrive and rehearsal amp settings and got beautiful tone.

HANOVER
Blues Garage - very good crowd - struggled with on stage sound - so not the best. Henry the club owner looked after us with a delicious meal and made us very welcome.

PRATTELN
First date on Europe/UK tour. Venue is like a small aircraft hangar - judging by the photos of bands that have played there a bit of a "metal" gig. Very well run though. Modest but friendly crowd and really enjoyed the show - switched back to O.C.D at sound check - old Fulldrive wasn't quite making it in that room.
