Same again - Ran the whole set plus extras and did quite alot of experimentation with the balance between the two Marshall Heads - sounding good by end of the day. Gone back to the very first Fulldrive that Mike gave me - love it! Engine room fully operational and Davey in fine voice.

First day of rehearsal for Euro Tour - Off to Switzerland on monday. Had to work seated as back playing up - solos quite tricky sitting down but got through it. Play through whole set plus three songs to be added - 20th Century Blues - Too much joy - Sweet Little Angel. We eased into them quite quickly. Also tried The Past Untied which have been trying to get into the set for sometime but hard to find place for another slow song. Finish early - Davey jetlagged!!

Today at DB's. Smashing little home studio to finalise guitar parts - i.e. which to keep and which to discard - as he is keen to get "half way house" mixes up for Davey to sing to. DB agrees that the "live" mix set up (bass left, guitar right) will work.

Also looked at two songs originally written for CAM MARTIN screenplay idea that did not come to fruition - tracks already recorded two years ago so very simple to try Davey on them - song "No-where" I have soft spot for. The other co-written with R.Watts also a lovely thing but more "pop".

Did a bit more work on song ideas for the project with JB. Also did an interview with very affable guy called Dave Ruben(?) for Guitar Player Magazine. He asked me about three catagories of my work - Required - Inspired - Tired - Interesting concept and we had a very good chat.

Back at 'No recording studios' to put bass and drums on 'The fading light' - an excellent take from Dave and Pete. Resung guide vocal and did some b.v's - This could be one of the best songs I have written I think. Can't wait to try Davey on it.
